Job summary

Oak View Group, a global leader in premium live entertainment infrastructure, seeks an Operations Supervisor to oversee event setup and facility operations. You will supervise staff, provide training, ensure safety guidelines, and support the Director of Event Operations.

This part-time role pays $24.00–$28.00 per hour. Benefits for part-time roles include a 401(k) Savings Plan and 401(k) matching. The position remains open until November 27, 2026. Location: South Carolina.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of supervisory experience in food & beverage.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to communicate professionally with staff and guests.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, event-driven environment.
• Possess a valid food handling certificate or alcohol service permit if required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee services and activities in arena and convention spaces.
• Provide staff training for all employees and temporary workers.
• Ensure safety guidelines are followed by all staff.
• Interpret and apply the Collective Bargaining Agreement.
• Plan, coordinate, and review work plans for facility operations.
• Forecast staffing and equipment needs for events.
• Coordinate with concessionaires and AV vendors.
• Schedule and supervise changeover and housekeeping crews.

Position Summary

The Operations Supervisor supervises and coordinates event setup activities and operations for the facility and provides responsible staff assistance to the Director of Event Operations.

This role pays an hourly rate of $24.00 - $28.00

Responsibilities

• Assume supervisor responsibility for all services and activities involved in the operations of all venue and exhibition & convention spaces.
• Provide staff training for all employees and temporary workers.
• Ensure staff is working safely and are aware of proper safety guidelines.
• Responsible for understanding, complying with, and execute parameters of Collective Bargaining Agreement.
• Lead/coordinate staff training and safety programs.
• Assist with mentoring/coaching team members to correct deficiencies.
• Assist and lead planning, coordinating, and review of work plans for facility operations.
• Review and understand event documents to forecast staffing and equipment needs for all Arena & Convention events.
• Coordinate facility arrangements with concessionaires and AV.
• Supervise and monitor changeover and housekeeping crews; provide team support as required.
• Schedule appropriate changeover and housekeeping crews for a large group of employees accurately and efficiently and adjust/notify employees of updates/changes as necessary.
• Maintains departmental equipment; notifies Operations Manager when repairs are needed.
• Provide excellent customer service to internal and external clients to provide a positive employee climate.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years’ experience working in a supervisory capacity in a food & beverage environment. Ability to supervise the work of others.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to communicate with employees, co-workers, volunteers, management staff, and guests in a clear, business-like, and respectful manner that focuses on generating a positive, enthusiastic, and cooperative work environment.
• Ability to work well in a team-oriented, fast-paced, event-driven environment.
• Possess a valid food handling certificate or alcohol service permit if required by state or federal regulations.
• Ability to handle cash accurately and responsibly.
• Ability to calculate basic math functions (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, percentages) as they relate to POS cash/credit transactions, cash reconciliation, and product inventory.
