Job summary

Harris Pavilion, operated by Sports Facilities Management, seeks a General Manager to oversee the venue's financial and operating performance in Manassas, VA. Lead department heads, drive profitability, and implement major business initiatives.

You will coordinate budgets, policies, and cross‑department collaboration while focusing on growth and staff development in a dynamic sports/entertainment environment.

Qualifications

• Prior daily P&L management with $1MM+ budget oversight.
• Proven leadership in the food & beverage, recreational, and entertainment industry.
• Operational knowledge of F&B, entertainment, and sport clubs; events and teambuilding preferred.
• Experience contracting or overseeing sponsorships, parties, corporate events, tournaments, leagues, camps, and fitness programming.
• Experience marketing programs preferred.
• Operational knowledge of risk management.
• Ability to identify and create opportunities to deliver revenue goals.
• Sports programming and sports event operations expertise required.
• Bachelor's degree in business management, sports management, marketing, hospitality or related field, or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Analyze operations to evaluate performance and identify cost reduction or policy changes.
• Appoint department heads and delegate responsibilities.
• Establish departmental responsibilities and coordinate functions among departments and sites.
• Coordinate development and implementation of budgetary control systems and recordkeeping.
• Direct and coordinate an organization's financial and budget activities to fund operations and maximize investments.
• Direct human resources activities, including staffing and development of major departments.
• Direct, plan, and implement policies and activities to maximize returns and productivity.
• Prepare and present reports on expenses, budgets, statutes, and rulings.
• Represent the organization at official functions and liaise with partners and outside entities.
• Administer site location decisions and requirements; coordinate equipment and supplies.
