Job summary

Harris Pavilion, managed by Sports Facilities Management LLC, seeks a General Manager to lead the venue's financial and operating performance from Manassas, VA. You will drive profitability, culture of accountability, and growth across departments.

The GM will oversee budgeting, policy development, and major initiatives while coordinating with ownership and advisors. A proven background in F&B, entertainment, and sports events is required for success.

Qualifications

• Requires prior responsibility in daily P&L management and budget oversight of $1MM or greater.
• Proven leadership experience in food & beverage, recreation, and entertainment.
• Operational knowledge of F&B, entertainment, and sport clubs as well as events and teambuilding.
• Experience contracting or overseeing sponsorships, parties, tournaments, and related services.
• Prior experience managing marketing programs.
• Operational knowledge of risk management.
• Able to identify opportunities to deliver revenue goals.
• Sports programming and sports event operations expertise required.
• Bachelor's degree in business management, sports management, marketing, hospitality or related field.

Responsibilities

• Analyze operations to evaluate performance, identify cost reduction, and propose policy changes.
• Appoint department heads and delegate responsibilities.
• Coordinate departments and sites; ensure cross-functional collaboration.
• Coordinate budgeting, recordkeeping, and administrative controls.
• Direct financial and budget activities to fund operations and maximize investments.
• Oversee HR plans, select senior staff, and organize major departments.
• Set policies and strategic direction to maximize productivity and returns.
• Implement corrective action plans and monitor progress.
• Prepare reports on activities, expenses, budgets, and government statute compliance.
• Represent the organization at official functions and liaise with stakeholders.
• Manage site location selection, construction needs, and provisioning of equipment.
• Direct activities related to production, pricing, sales, and distribution of services.
• Provide strategic guidance to all departments and approve major contracts.
