AdaptHealth is seeking a Respiratory Therapist – Ventilator Support in the Phoenix area to deliver specialized respiratory care to ventilator-dependent patients in home and alternate care settings. You will educate patients and caregivers, coordinate with physicians, and ensure compliant documentation while traveling between field and in-office sites to support safe, high-quality outcomes.

Qualifications

• Associate degree from an AMA-approved respiratory program.
• One year of clinical ventilator experience preferred.
• Valid Respiratory Therapist license in all states serviced by the branch.
• CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and apply advanced knowledge of respiratory equipment, ventilators, HME products, and related payer and regulatory guidelines
• Perform clinical assessments and reassessments, including review of ventilator patient records, compliance data, and care plans; communicate findings and recommendations to physicians and referral sources
• Participate in discharge planning and execution for highly technical and ventilator dependent patients, ensuring smooth transitions to the home setting
• Demonstrate and instruct patients, caregivers, and healthcare professionals on ventilator units, supplies, and proper equipment use
• Provide clinical follow up with physicians and referral sources regarding patient status and tolerance of therapy
• Conduct clinical in services for hospital staff, referral sources, and other professionals on equipment and clinically related topics
