AdaptHealth is seeking a Respiratory Therapist – Ventilator Support to deliver specialized respiratory care to ventilator-dependent patients in home and alternate care settings. This role blends hands-on care, education, and collaboration with physicians to ensure safe, coordinated outcomes outside the hospital.

You will maintain ventilator knowledge, perform assessments, lead discharge planning, and educate patients and caregivers while documenting care and participating in on-call shifts.

Qualifikationen

• Associates degree from an AMA-approved respiratory program.
• One year of clinical experience with ventilator exposure.
• Valid Respiratory Therapist license in serviced states.
• CPR certification; valid driver’s license.

Aufgaben

• Maintain advanced knowledge of respiratory equipment, ventilators, and related guidelines.
• Perform assessments and communicate findings to physicians and referral sources.
• Discharge planning and execution for ventilator-dependent patients.
• Instruct patients and caregivers on equipment use and safety.
• Document all care activities accurately in company systems.
• Collaborate with peers to resolve issues and optimize outcomes.
• Participate in on-call rotation and complete compliance training.
