Job summary

Duke Health's Duke Raleigh Hospital is seeking a Respiratory Care Practitioner I to provide diagnostic and therapeutic respiratory care across neonatal, pediatric, and adult patients. You will perform ventilator management, NIV support, and direct patient care under physician orders in a high-volume hospital environment.

Responsibilities include intubation support, bronchoscopy assistance, and participation in rounds with physicians and nurses.

Qualifications

• Must have completed a 2-year AMA approved respiratory care program.
• Must maintain NC license requirements for CEUs.
• Certificate in BLS/ACLS/PALS/NRP as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate medical orders and perform respiratory care procedures.
• Proficient in mechanical ventilator modalities and NIV (NPPV, CPAP, BiPAP).
• Perform endotracheal intubation and extubations under supervision.
• Assist with bronchoscopy and orientation of Level II RT.
• Ensure safe operation of devices in MRI and participate in rounds.
