Qualifications

• Completion of a 2 year AMA approved respiratory care program (Associates Degree or the equivalent).
• Six months to one year of clinical experience following graduation.
• North Carolina State Licensure Registry (RRT) by NBRC; BLS/ACLS/PALS certifications as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Perform and evaluate diagnostic and therapeutic procedures as defined in the Respiratory Care scope of practice.
• Proficient in mechanical ventilator modalities and non-invasive ventilation.
• Assist with airway management including intubation and extubation.
• Support bronchoscopy and participate in clinical rounds with physicians and care teams.
• Ensure safety and proper operation of devices in MRI environments and respond to emergencies.
