Job summary

BILL is hiring a Vendor Development Representative to help accelerate the shift from legacy payments to modern digital experiences. You will convert suppliers from check/ACH to virtual cards and drive overall payment volume, via outbound calls and emails, ensuring accurate supplier records in Salesforce.

Success is end-to-end: from initial acceptance to the first settled payment, with potential growth into supplier ownership, retention, and upsell strategies.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of experience in outbound sales, supplier or vendor outreach, inside sales, or payment operations support in a B2B environment or equivalent.
• Demonstrated track record of working against volume and quality metrics simultaneously, including calls, conversions, and documentation accuracy.
• Hands-on experience with Salesforce or a comparable CRM, specifically data entry, record hygiene, and activity logging.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain payment and financial concepts clearly to non-technical business contacts.
• Comfort navigating multiple tools simultaneously, including dialer platforms, CRM systems, and internal workflow tools.

Responsibilities

• Contact suppliers through outbound calls and email to validate payment acceptance and capture setup details.
• Educate suppliers on benefits of digital payment methods and guide their transition to digital payments.
• Maintain complete Salesforce records for every supplier interaction.
• Follow playbooks and scripts while handling objections and escalations.
• Meet or exceed monthly activity and conversion targets, including outbound calls and total payment volume.
• Collaborate with operations, onboarding, retention, and product support teams for smooth handoffs.
• Identify friction points in onboarding and payment setup and report observations.
