Job summary

Kapitus is seeking a Vendor Governance & Controls Analyst to ensure proper governance across vendor relationships and drive accountability. The role coaches VRMs, facilitates training, and aligns business units with policy for effective third-party oversight.

Travel to vendor sites (up to 10%) is possible as part of onsite assessments, and collaboration with Compliance, Legal, and Risk will be common to deliver measurable governance outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Organizational Development, or related field.
• 5–8 years in vendor management, business controls, or third-party governance within financial services.
• Experience in a controls, compliance, or governance-focused role.
• Proven track record coaching business stakeholders to governance standards and scorecards.

Responsibilities

• VRM RFP navigation and coaching for evaluation frameworks, scoring methodologies, and documentation standards.
• Vendor lifecycle training design and facilitation for VRMs, leaders, and cross-functional teams.
• Scorecard accountability enforcement and timely leadership-driven completion.
• Vendor onsite assessments with VRMs (up to 10% travel) as governance representative.
• Vendor accountability program management including PIP, contract adherence, and escalation.
• Enablement for business leaders on governance frameworks and oversight responsibilities.
• Controls adherence oversight and remediation guidance for non-compliance.
• Governance reporting and insights for senior leadership and trend analysis.
• Cross-functional collaboration with Compliance, Legal, Procurement, and Risk.
• Champion continuous improvement of vendor governance practices.
