Job summary

Credit Union 1 Alaska is seeking a DMV Representative to manage titling for collateralized vehicle loans and ensure compliance with regulations. You will interact with members, dealers, and third parties to complete title work accurately and on time, while maintaining strong attention to detail in a service-focused environment.

This on-site role in Anchorage requires organizing documentation, processing DMV packets, and providing guidance on title transfer requirements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 1-2 years of administrative experience with computer systems.
• Experience in loan administration preferred.
• Must have valid Alaska ID or driver’s license for DMV Terminal certification.

Responsibilities

• Receive titles from dealers and track check distribution.
• Contact members, dealers, and third parties to finalize title work and secure lien.
• Update account information promptly and accurately.
• Communicate with members, attorneys, and others in writing, in person, or by phone.
• Skip trace and research accounts to obtain signatures and complete paperwork.
• Release titles to dealers and members and close loan files timely.
• Process the paid loans list weekly and send titles accordingly.
• Maintain title drawer and log titles in proper sequence.
• Maintain all areas of UCC processing from start to finish.
• Prepare lien release letters as needed for lost titles.
• Process dealer GL transfers to get checks to branches, timely.
• Process title work fees and reporting fees not collected at closing.
• Verify perfected liens and maintain related reports.
• Answer calls from branches, insurers, and dealers about payoff and title questions.
• Assist with notary duties as needed, including notarizing lien releases and POAs.
• Call financial institutions to obtain payoff amounts for traded vehicles.
• Monitor department phone queue to ensure timely call handling.
• Complete annual title audits.
• Obtain Alaska DMV terminal permissions and pass background check.
• Prepare DMV packets and follow up on missing documentation.
• Contact out-of-state DMV centers for title work.
• Monitor monthly reports for direct and indirect loans for title tracking.
