Job summary

Cox Automotive is seeking a detail-oriented Title Processor to handle vehicle title work for auctioned units. You will examine titles for accuracy, verify state filings, and coordinate with customers, dealers and agencies to resolve issues.

The role requires strong communication, basic computer skills, and the ability to work with varied state regulations. Office-based position with daytime hours and potential for additional hours based on business needs.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Generally, less than 2 years of experience.
• Effective communication skills.
• Must possess good problem-solving and organizational skills.
• Basic computer software skills.
• Vision abilities include close, distance and depth perception.

Responsibilities

• Process and re-assign titles for vehicles sold by the auction.
• Examine vehicle title for accuracy and conformity to specified requirements.
• Verify acceptance of the title in the state for which it is filed.
• Confirm accurate title VIN, odometer reading, lien releases, and that titles contain no alteration.
• Determine negotiability of title document and assess for potential fraud; report discrepancies.
• Interact with customers, dealers, and regulatory agencies to resolve titling issues.
• Assist with sale day transactions using AS400 and provide customer service.
• Run outstanding title reports and contact sellers about title status.
• Issue gate passes for no-sale vehicles and purchases.
• Assist with title and check audits.
• Follow safety procedures and participate in Safety Excellence.
