Job summary

Cox Automotive Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented titles processor to handle auction titles, verify accuracy, and ensure compliance with state regulations. You will interact with customers, dealers, and regulatory agencies to resolve title issues and negotiate adjustments when needed.

The role requires knowledge of DMV titling laws, proficiency with AS400, Auction Access, and DVR, plus strong communication and organizational skills. Some overtime and travel may be required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED preferred.
• OR less than 2 years of related work experience.
• Valid Driver's license and safe driving record required.
• Effective communication skills required.
• Must possess good problem-solving and organizational skills.
• Basic computer and software skills required.

Responsibilities

• Process and re-assign titles for vehicle sold by auction.
• Examine vehicle title for accuracy and conformity to specified requirements.
• Verify acceptance of the title in the filing state and confirm VIN, odometer, liens release.
• Determine negotiability of title document and assess for potential fraud.
• Resolve title issues through interactions with customers, dealers and regulatory agencies.
• Work with management to negotiate price adjustments when necessary.
• Maintain knowledge of current DMV laws and interpret titling regulations per state.
• Answer telephone calls courteously and route to appropriate personnel.
• Run outstanding title reports and contact sellers regarding titles.
• Process sale day transactions using AS400 and provide customer service.
• Verify purchases in-lane using the DVR and access Auction Access.
• Assist in sale day settlement balancing and ensure front counter coverage.
• Demonstrate commitment to Cox culture and client satisfaction.
• May work overtime (>40 hours per week) as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management and may travel.
