Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. is seeking a Vehicle Sales Manager in Converse, TX to drive retail vehicle sales, develop a strong local network, and maximize gross on used vehicle inventory. The role includes promoting Ryder Financing, coordinating transport, and ensuring Road Ready condition.

A competitive base salary with commission and full benefits is offered. The ideal candidate has strong communication and leadership skills, a marketing/sales background, and at least 3 years of relevant experience.

• Strong technical aptitude and skills, Required
• Bachelor's Degree in Post-secondary education preferred with emphasis on marketing and sales assignments, Preferred
• 3 years or more in Ryder or industry experience in variety of sales assignments, Required

Responsibilities

• Aggressively builds a retail vehicle sales network through advertising, direct mail, prospecting, walk-ins, cold calls and events
• Maintains inventory control and proper documentation for vehicles and promotions
• Communicates effectively with customers, employees and management
• Monitors customer satisfaction and implements improvements to drive loyalty
• Ensures vehicles are road-ready and coordinates transport of wholesale, trade and export units
• Supports pricing strategy and coordinates local wholesale activity
• Collaborates with regional managers to optimize inventory and reduce holding time
• Identifies and pre-sells surplus assets to accelerate sales
• Acts as a subject-matter expert on market demands and pricing
