Job summary

Ford Motor Company is seeking a New Model Introduction Supervisor to lead launches of vehicle and powertrain programs. The role focuses on delivering on time, within budget, and to target quality while guiding a team of launch engineers.

The position requires cross-functional collaboration across all levels, preparation of launch reviews, and close communication with senior leaders about risks and opportunities. It is a hybrid on-site role with travel expectations.

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering and 4+ years in powertrain/vehicle operations or program management.
• Proven PM/launch experience and ability to manage cross-functional teams.
• Proficiency with MS Office and MS Project.

Responsibilities

• Budget management to keep launches within allocated budget.
• Oversee pre-production activities and ensure cost efficiency and quality.
• Review and approve design changes and ensure testing before launch.
• Ensure facilities and resources are available for the on-site launch team.
• Manage an issue tracking system to resolve launch-impacting issues.
• Incorporate customer feedback and ensure issues are resolved before launch.
• Manage change control and ensure timely approvals for changes.
• Develop risk mitigation plans for parts not yet production-ready.
• Lead Open to Go/PPAP readiness and assess part pedigree.
• Track plant issues and ensure prompt resolution.
