Job summary

Ford Motor Company seeks a Launch/Business Coordinator to support product launches and decommissioning, ensuring on-time delivery, milestones, and accurate product content. You will monitor schedules, manage transfers, and coordinate packaging and supplier decisions in a fast-paced automotive environment.

The role requires 5+ years in Microsoft Office, automotive plant experience, and the ability to lead with strong organizational and communication skills.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma
• 5+ years of experience in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
• Automotive experience in a vehicle assembly plant
• Prior experience handling a unionized work force
• Safety and Quality experience preferred
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles
• Ability to work independently with limited supervision
• Past experience assigning work to unionized hourly workforce and holding employees accountable for following processes pertaining to daily work assignments in terms of safety and quality
• Strong organizational and administrative skills
• Ability to multi-task
• Strong problem-solving and conflict management skills
• Demonstrated leadership behaviors and strong interpersonal skills

Responsibilities

• Monitor projects against schedule, costs, and deadlines.
• Coordinate product transfers and ensure requirements are captured in project plans.
• Determine manufacturing strategy with functional managers.
• Define packaging strategy and coordinate with suppliers.
• Track PPAP status for traceability and audits.
• Support Lean/FPS-aligned initiatives and grow into IE-focused work.
• Report on risks and provide mitigation recommendations.
• Lead milestone meetings and document outcomes.
