Job summary

Ford's Ohio Assembly Plant is seeking a Launch Engineer to manage new model vehicle launches on time, cost, and quality. You will oversee launch parts, BOM integrity, and cross-functional coordination with Manufacturing, Product Development, Purchasing, and Vehicle Operations.

You will travel domestically and internationally, lead OTG discussions, and prepare the plant launch team for builds, while working with Ford systems to ensure smooth change control and launch execution.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree (BS) in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 2–3 years automotive experience required.
• Must be willing to travel domestically and internationally.
• Excellent communication skills (written and oral) required.
• Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel.

Responsibilities

• Manage the launch parts and processes, including OTG parts list and BOM review.
• Lead OTG discussions with launch coordinators and PSG team; participate in Change Control and CLL meetings.
• Prepare the plant launch team; coordinate with GME on workstation needs and broadcast changes.
• Participate in builds; verify parts are present and walk vehicles through the plant.
• Work with Ford systems (CMMS, LQOS, OTG, QLS, WERS) to support launches.
