Job summary

Cox Automotive Inc. is seeking personnel to accurately enter vehicle information for auction registration using handheld devices, including VIN, stock numbers, and vehicle attributes. You will affix stock labels, place orders, and install OBDII devices, guiding transporters to drop zones and upholding safety standards.

The role requires basic computer skills, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to lift light loads. You will support safety initiatives and may assist on sale days as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED preferred, OR less than 2 years of related work experience.
• Safe drivers needed; valid driver's license required
• Basic computer skills required
• Regularly required to stand, walk, reach, talk and hear
• Frequently required to stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, squat and climb
• Ability to lift 1-15 pounds
• Vision abilities required include close, distance and color vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus

Responsibilities

• Input accurate vehicle information for registration into the system using a handheld computer (Zebra TC) for each vehicle received at the Auction including VIN, stock number, dealer identification number, make, model, year, mileage, color, options, etc.
• Affix barcode/stock number sticker on each vehicle received and place work order numbers and routing labels on vehicles upon entry
• Associate and install OBDII tracking device
• Direct transporters to proper car drop zone
• Visibly demonstrate safety commitment by following all safety and health procedures and modeling the behaviors related to such
• Work in cooperation with safety leadership in support of all safety activities aligned with Safety Excellence
• Perform other duties as assigned by manager or supervisor, e.g. assist on sale days driving vehicles through Auction sales lanes, etc.
