Job summary

Cox Automotive in the Fredericksburg area is seeking a Vehicle Operations Logistics Specialist I to support auction check-in, VIN entry, and vehicle tracking. This role emphasizes safety and accurate data entry in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements include a High School Diploma or equivalent, 1–3 years of auction/vehicle registration experience, a valid driver’s license, and basic computer skills. Schedule is Monday–Friday, 7:30am–4:00pm, on site.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 1-3 years of auction and/or vehicle registration experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required.
• Ability to drive vehicles with standard and automatic transmission.
• Basic computer skills required.

Responsibilities

• Input vehicle information into the AS400 system using handheld device for each vehicle received at the Auction (VIN, stock number, dealer ID, make, model, year, mileage, color, options).
• Affix barcode/stock number sticker on each vehicle.
• Associate Tracker device to WO# and install on OBD or strap 2nd gen tracker around steering wheel.
• Place work order numbers and routing labels; flag 'no key' cars.
• Direct transporters to vehicle drop zones and report damages as needed.
• Take digital images of vehicle upon receipt and ensure proper sale ID windshield code.
• Follow safety procedures and support Safety Excellence initiatives.
• Perform other duties as assigned by manager.
