Job summary

Cox Automotive is seeking a vehicle information entry associate to support the auction process. You will input VINs, stock numbers, dealer IDs, make/model/year/mileage/color/options, and affix barcode stickers to each vehicle upon receipt using a Zebra handheld computer.

You will also place work order numbers, route vehicles, install OBDII devices, and guide transporters to the correct drop zones while following safety procedures.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED preferred, OR less than 2 years of related work experience.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Basic computer skills required.
• Regularly required to stand, walk, reach, talk and hear.
• Frequently required to stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, squat and climb.
• Ability to lift 1-15 pounds.
• Vision abilities required include close, distance and color vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Responsibilities

• Input accurate vehicle information for registration into the system using a handheld computer (Zebra TC) for each vehicle received at the Auction including VIN, stock number, dealer identification number, make, model, year, mileage, color, options, etc., and affix barcode/stock number sticker on each vehicle.
• Place work order numbers and routing labels on vehicles upon entry.
• Associate and install OBDII tracking device.
• Direct transporters to proper car drop zone.
• Follow all safety and health procedures and model safe behaviors; support Safety Excellence with safety leadership.
• Perform other duties as assigned by manager or supervisor, e.g. assist on sale days driving vehicles through Auction sales lanes.
