JOB SUMMARY: Maintain the vehicle fleet, perform maintenance and remodeling of the Rimrock’s buildings and caretaking of grounds. Minor boiler and air conditioning maintenance. Assure adherence to state statutes and rules, CARF standards, and federal regulations including HIPAA and 42 CFR Part 2. Positively represents the organization and promotes Rimrock’s Mission to the community.
Essential Functions
- Monitor and maintain rules and general order during transport.
- Operate vehicles in a safe and prudent manner and drive defensively. Obey all rules of the road.
- Keep vehicles in a clean and well-maintained condition. Report any mechanical problems to the Director of Environmental Services
- Responsible for weekly cleaning and maintenance of all vans.
- Utilize incident report system to assure all incidents and unusual events are communicated to management.
- Inspect vans per schedule to ensure they are fueled and in good condition.
- Update and complete all work orders as assigned.
- Maintenance of all off-site facilities including routine maintenance, upkeep and repair.
- Responsible for cleaning and monitoring parking area and walkways, including snow, leaf and debris removal from sidewalks.
- Responsible for maintaining clean mechanical rooms and work areas.
- General carpentry and remodeling, including; framing, plumbing, sheet rocking, mudding and taping, painting.
- Complete landscaping projects to include sprinkler systems, sod, planting and removing plants and trees, and any other projects assigned by Director of Environmental Services.
- Perform all other duties as assigned by Director of Environmental Services.

EDUCATION/TRAINING: High school diploma, previous vehicle maintenance experience preferred.
CERTIFICATE OR LICENSE: Current driver’s license.
SKILLS: Ability to operate vehicle in a safe and prudent manner. Ability to interact in a friendly and courteous manner with residents and other staff. Ability to read, measure and calculate. Ability to safely use basic maintenance tools and painting equipment.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: A typical workday involves walking, stooping, standing, bending, kneeling, climbing, reaching with hands and arms, and talking and hearing, approximately 75% of the time. Approximately 25% or less of the time is spent sitting. Normal vision abilities required, including close vision and ability to adjust focus. Full physical mobility and manual dexterity is required to assist young children in getting into and out of vehicles. Work includes general maintenance and boiler engineering. May require use of a phone. Lifting and carrying up to 100 pounds from time to time. Driving of company vehicle required. Ability to climb ladders and maintain balance on ladders.
WORK ENVIRONMENT/JOB LOCATIONS: Indoors and outdoors at all Facility locations and consists of driving on city streets.
