Description:
The Facilities Assistant supports the ministry of Convoy of Hope by assisting with cleaning and minor repair and maintenance of facilities and grounds. The working hours are Monday-Thursday 1:00-6:00 pm and Friday 9:00 am-1:00 pm.

Qualifications:

1. Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
   1. Assists the Facilities Manager at the Global Headquarters & Training Center and the World Distribution Center in providing janitorial duties as assigned.
   2. Communicates issues related to facility projects and needs to the appropriate supervisor.
   3. Assists with minor repair and maintenance of facility and grounds as assigned.
   4. Tracks and reports inventory of janitorial supplies.
   5. Assists Hospitality & Guest Relations in event setup for both internal and external groups.
   6. Picks up and distributes incoming and outbound packages and parcels when requested.
   7. Fulfills all other duties as assigned.

1. Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
   1. A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
   2. Two or more years of facilities experience is preferred.
   3. Able to bend and lift up to 50 pounds infrequently.
   4. Extensive amount of walking required.
   5. Able to use a PC or Mac software programs, including Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
   6. Displays good interpersonal communication skills for working with fellow team members, contractors, and vendors.
   7. Possesses a self-starter mentality and good occupational awareness.
   8. Attends and actively participates in Convoy of Hope At Home Week meetings and activities as a required responsibility to the organization and fellow team members.
   9. Serves as an advocate for the ministry, striving to nurture, broaden, and develop financial and other resource opportunities to support and expand organizational and program ministry.
   10. Positively represents the ministry of Convoy of Hope, including its mission statement and core values, to all outside constituencies.
   11. As a Christian organization, Convoy of Hope believes it is critical that team members embrace the organization’s religious purposes for which it exists and not only agree with its Statement of Faith but demonstrate it in their lives on an ongoing basis.
