Endeavor Schools has an exciting opportunity for a Facilities Coordinator supporting schools in our Maryland market! This position serves as maintenance point of contact for facilities issues by initiating work requests, monitoring completion of work requests and coordinating contract work with third party vendors. The Facilities Coordinator also identifies, recommends, and implements building operations and process modifications to increase productivity and/or reduce costs and coordinates maintenance logistics to avoid conflict with school operations.

Essential Tasks
  • Technical ability to complete maintenance task reported into the schools Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS), which include, light plumbing, furniture repairs & assembly, painting, classroom & office moves, clean-up, and trash removal, etc.
  • Provide excellent customer service to school directors, teaching staff, students, and parents; coordinate requests received via work order, phone calls, and email.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills are essential including the ability to set schedules to track and prioritize multiple tasks despite interruptions and changing/competing priorities.
  • Strong communication skills to keep team members and stakeholders informed on the status of projects and tasks is a critical component of responsibilities.
  • Adhere to departmental budget process and procedures.
  • Due to nature of facilities services, must be able to work occasionally after normal school hours.
  • Ability to prioritize as work is needed.
  • Other duties may also be assigned.

Education and Experience:
  • High School Diploma
  • 5 years of experience in facilities maintenance

Physical Requirements:
  • Frequently stand, walk, sit to perform desk-based computer tasks, and use of phone/text messaging.
  • Occasionally kneel, twist, bend, stoop, squat, grasp, lift, carry, push, and pull objects that weigh 15 to 50+ pounds.
  • Drive vehicle day or night with non-commercial license.
  • Will periodically work in an office space.
  • Must be flexible to move around to different areas of school when working onsite.
  • Occasional outdoor work.

Certifications and Licenses:
  • Valid Maryland driver's license
  • Must pass both state licensing background check and MVR
