Job summary

ADESA is seeking an Inspector to assess vehicle condition, document findings, and support dealer and consumer inquiries. You will perform thorough inspections, capture data via mobile tools, and ensure timely reporting.

The role emphasizes accuracy, prompt communication, and adherence to contract requirements. Ideal candidates bring basic automotive experience, a valid driver's license, and comfort with handheld data entry and vehicle diagnostic tools.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• 1 year automotive experience preferred.
• Must be 18 years of age and have a valid driver's license.
• Able to safely drive a variety of vehicle makes/models/sizes.
• Proficiency with computer systems and applications.

Responsibilities

• Communicate professionally with dealers or consumers.
• Inspect vehicles for wear, damage, or prior repairs and document results.
• Capture inspection data on a mobile device and upload reports.
• Interact with customers and internal teams to address inquiries.
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and proper placement of parts and radios.
• Complete road tests if required by contract or inspection type.
• Keep equipment maintained and report issues promptly.
