Job summary

ADESA, a Carvana-owned company, is hiring a Vehicle Inspector to support dealer and consumer interactions by accurately inspecting vehicles for condition, reporting results, and uploading images. You will use handheld devices and software to capture data and ensure timely, compliant inspections.

You will work with the Vehicle Inspection Manager to meet defined standards, maintain equipment, and stay current with technology updates.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• 1 year automotive experience preferred.
• Must be 18 years of age and have a valid driver’s license.
• Able to safely drive a variety of make/model/sizes of vehicles.
• Proficiency with computer systems and applications.

Responsibilities

• Communicate in a professional manner with customer (dealer or consumer).
• Resolve customer inquiries in a courteous and professional manner; advise management of all complaints or incidents.
• Ensure internal and external customers receive prompt, efficient and courteous attention.
• Inspect vehicles for signs of wear, tear, neglect, damage, previous repair or structural damage.
• Complete inspection of vehicles and ensure adherence to the defined program for the customer.
• Capture data accurately on a mobile device; work with software and technology.
• Deliver results in a timely manner.
• Maintain productivity levels as set forth by management.
• Deliver consistent, accurate inspections with minimal errors.
• Collaborate with Manager and sales team on customer needs with insights to improve services.
• Maintain equipment and tools and report maintenance issues.
• Ensure vehicles are clean and in proper condition.
• Submit completed condition reports using the approved tech.
• Complete road tests if required by contract or inspection type.
• Keep current on technology updates and product development.
• Understand functionality and use of tools such as paint meters, OBD scanner.
• Develop knowledge of competitor products.
• Any other duties assigned by the designated manager.
