Job summary

Smart Start, Inc. is hiring a Service Technician to support public safety by ensuring reliable operation of alcohol monitoring and vehicle electronic systems. This on-site role blends hands-on technical work with strong customer service in a field operations environment.

You will install and service devices, train customers, manage scheduling and inventory, and uphold confidentiality and safety standards. A valid driver’s license and the ability to pass background checks and drug screenings are

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• At least 1 year of customer-facing experience.
• Proficient in 12-volt DC systems and vehicle electronics.
• Experience with wiring, diagnostics, multimeter testing.
• Ability to train customers and provide phone support.
• Strong communication and commitment to confidentiality.
• Willing to pass background checks and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Install, service, troubleshoot, and remove alcohol monitoring and vehicle devices.
• Maintain a clean, organized, hazard-free workspace.
• Provide customer training and phone support.
• Call customers for upcoming appointments.
• Perform monthly inventory audits and assist nearby facilities.
• Manage weekly hours and communicate with management.
• Uphold confidentiality and comply with laws.
• Perform vehicle-to-vehicle transfers as needed.
