Job summary

Smart Start, Inc. is seeking a Service Technician to ensure the reliable operation of alcohol monitoring and vehicle electronic devices on-site in Virginia. The role blends hands-on electrical work with customer service, including training and troubleshooting for customers.

You will install, service, and calibrate equipment, manage inventory, and support regional operations while maintaining safety and confidentiality. A high school diploma and valid driver’s license are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience with vehicle electrical systems preferred.
• Strong problem-solving and customer-service skills.

Responsibilities

• Install, service, troubleshoot, and remove alcohol monitoring and vehicle electronic devices.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work environment.
• Conduct customer training sessions and provide phone support to ensure satisfaction.
• Make daily or weekly reminder calls to customers with upcoming appointments.
• Perform monthly inventory audits and assist nearby facilities as needed.
• Manage weekly work hours (≤ 40 hours/week) and communicate with management.
• Uphold confidentiality, data security, and compliance with laws and regulations.
• Perform additional duties as assigned, including vehicle-to-vehicle transfers.
