Job summary

Smart Start, Inc. is seeking a Service Technician to support public safety by ensuring alcohol monitoring and vehicle electronics operate reliably. You will combine technical installation and hands-on customer service in a field operations role.

The position emphasizes training, phone support, and adherence to confidentiality and safety guidelines, with an on-site schedule and a focus on quality service and client satisfaction.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• At least 1 year in a customer-facing role.
• Proficiency with 12-volt DC systems encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Install, service, troubleshoot, and remove alcohol monitoring and vehicle electronic devices.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work environment.
• Conduct customer training sessions and provide phone support to ensure satisfaction.
• Make daily or weekly reminder calls to customers with upcoming appointments.
• Perform monthly inventory audits and assist nearby facilities as needed.
• Manage weekly work hours (≤ 40 hours/week) and communicate effectively with management.
• Uphold confidentiality, data security, and compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
• Perform additional duties as assigned, including vehicle-to-vehicle transfers.
