Job summary

Loudoun County Public Schools is seeking a softball head coach at Park View High School. The assistant coaches will be hired for the season spanning February through May, with the head coach overseeing training, conditioning, and competitive performance.

The role requires coaching experience at high school or college levels, CPR/First Aid training, and a preference for candidates with Virginia teaching licensure or as a LCPS classified employee.

Qualifications

• Coaching experience at high school or college level.
• Completion of CPR and First Aid training or enrollment in current CPR/First Aid training.
• Virginia teaching license candidate or full-time classified LCPS employee preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain high academic standards for student athletes.
• Assist athletic director and principal in hiring/retention of coaches.
• Direct, supervise, and evaluate assistant coaches in the sport.
• Ensure proper insurance coverage for athletes.
• Foster sportsmanship and pride in school and community.
• Direct training, conditioning, and performance of the varsity team.
• Be present at varsity and as many junior varsity/freshman contests as possible.
