Job summary

Loudoun County Public Schools in Sterling, VA seeks a head tennis coach for Park View High School for the Spring season (February–May). This role requires guiding a varsity program, coordinating with staff, and maintaining academic standards for student athletes.

The coach will supervise assistants, develop schedules and equipment needs, and promote sportsmanship and team pride across the school community. This position reports to the Athletic Director.

Qualifications

• Coaching experience or participation in the sport at high school or college level.
• CPR and First Aid training completed or enrolled in current course.
• Prefer experience as a teacher or classified employee in Loudoun County Public Schools.
• Prefer a Virginia Teaching License candidate or a full-time classified employee for Loudoun County Public Schools.

Responsibilities

• Assist in maintaining high academic standards for student athletes.
• Assist athletic director and principal in hiring/retention of assistant coaches.
• Direct, supervise, and evaluate performance of assistant coaches.
• Coordinate with athletic director to ensure proper insurance coverage for athletes.
• Work with head coaches to operate a well-balanced athletic program.
• Foster values of sportsmanship, pride, and teamwork among participants and spectators.
• Direct training and conditioning of varsity team and supervise assistant coaches.
