Job summary

Loudoun County Public Schools is seeking a Head Cheerleading Coach for Park View High School. The role covers supervision of varsity, junior varsity, and freshman teams, with responsibilities for training, conditioning, and performance.

The coach will work closely with the athletic director to ensure safety, insurance coverage, and eligibility compliance. The ideal candidate has coaching experience at high school or college level, CPR/First Aid certification, and either a Virginia teaching

Qualifications

• Coaching experience at high school or college level preferred.
• CPR and First Aid training completed or in progress.
• Experience as a teacher or classified employee in Loudoun County Public Schools preferred.
• Virginia Teaching License candidate or full-time classified employee status preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in maintaining high academic standards for student athletes.
• Assist athletic director and principal in hiring/retention of assistant coaches.
• Direct, supervise, and evaluate performance of all assistant coaches.
• Coordinate with athletic director to ensure proper insurance coverage for athletes.
• Collaborate with head coaches to operate a well-balanced athletic program.
• Foster values of athletics, sportsmanship, pride in school and community.
• Direct training, conditioning, and performance of varsity team; supervise assistants.
• Be a positive influence on behavior of athletic staff and teams.
• Be present at varsity contests and supervise athletes at junior varsity and freshman contests.
• Advise on schedule preparation for the sport and official evaluations.
• Advise on equipment needs and inventory care.
• Report facility conditions and maintenance needs to the athletic director.
• Ensure eligibility lists for contests are accurate.
