Job summary

Loudoun County Public Schools seeks a Head Cheerleading Coach for Park View High School in Ashburn, VA. The position oversees the varsity team, directs training and conditioning, and collaborates with the athletic director and principal on program needs.

The coach will supervise and evaluate assistant coaches, ensure athlete eligibility and safety, and promote sportsmanship and school pride throughout the season.

Qualifications

• Coaching experience at high school or college level.
• CPR and First Aid training completed or enrolled in current course.
• Prefer experience as a teacher or classified employee in Loudoun County Public Schools.
• Virginia Teaching License or eligible candidate preferred for LCPS.

Responsibilities

• Assist athletic director and principal in hiring and/or retention of assistant coaches.
• Direct, supervise, and evaluate regularly the performance of all assistant coaches.
• Ensure proper insurance coverage for all athletes.
• Foster good sportsmanship and pride in team, school, and community.
• Direct training, conditioning, and performance of the varsity team and supervise assistant coaches.
• Be present at varsity contests and oversee JV/ freshmen contests when possible.
