Job summary

Loudoun Valley High School in Purcellville, VA is seeking a cheerleading assistant coach for the Fall season (August–November). You will work with the head coach to run a well-structured program and support the athletic department.

The role requires prior coaching experience or participation at the high school or college level, CPR/First Aid training, and preferably Virginia teaching license or classified employee status within LCPS.

Qualifications

• Coaching experience or participation in the sport at high school or college levels.
• CPR and First Aid training or enrollment in current CPR and First Aid training.
• Prefer experience as a teacher or classified employee in Loudoun County Public Schools.
• Prefer a Virginia Teaching License candidate or a full-time classified employee for Loudoun County Public Schools.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with head athletic coach to operate a well-structured cheer program.
• Work cooperatively with the athletic department.
• Attend all staff meetings prescribed by the head athletic coach during the season.
• Carry out duties designated by the head athletic coach.
• Recommend equipment and supplies needed for program implementation.
• Recommend disciplinary actions for players violating rules and procedures.
• Foster sportsmanship and pride for school and community among athletes.
• Perform other duties related to the assistant athletic coach role as requested.
