Job summary

Qualifications

We are seeking an experienced Varicent Sales Performance Management (SPM) Subject Matter Expert to provide functional and technical leadership for a large enterprise SPM environment.

This is a senior-level, hands-on consulting position requiring deep Varicent SPM expertise and a strong understanding of Sales Performance Management processes. The consultant will work directly with business and technical stakeholders to translate complex compensation and performance-management requirements into scalable Varicent solutions.

The ideal candidate can operate as the go-to Varicent expert-comfortable with solution design, configuration, models, workflows, reporting, complex calculations, data integrity, troubleshooting, and stakeholder consulting.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary Varicent SPM Subject Matter Expert.
• Provide expertise and recommendations around Sales Performance Management processes and industry best practices.
• Partner directly with business stakeholders to gather, analyze, and interpret requirements.
• Translate business requirements into effective Varicent SPM solutions.
• Design, configure, and optimize:
• Workflows
• Calculations
• Reports
• Business processes
• Ensure Varicent solutions align with organizational objectives, policies, and compliance requirements.
• Troubleshoot complex issues involving calculations, data integrity, and system performance.
• Conduct system reviews and audits to validate data accuracy, compliance, and performance.
• Identify risks and recommend practical technical and functional solutions.
• Participate in code reviews, QA activities, solution documentation, and delivery standards.
• Train and mentor technical team members, business users, and other stakeholders.
• Identify opportunities to improve and automate existing SPM processes.
• Stay current with Varicent product enhancements, SPM industry trends, and relevant regulatory changes.

Required Qualifications

• Approximately 9-10+ years of relevant SPM/Varicent experience.
• Deep hands-on expertise with Varicent SPM.
• Strong understanding of Sales Performance Management processes and best practices.
• Demonstrated experience designing and configuring Varicent models, workflows, calculations, and reports.
• Experience translating complex business requirements into Varicent solutions.
• Strong troubleshooting skills involving:
• Incentive/compensation calculations
• Data integrity
• Business rules
• Experience conducting data validation, system audits, and quality reviews.
• Ability to work directly with both business stakeholders and technical teams.
• Strong documentation, presentation, and communication skills.
