Job summary

Ferguson seeks an Industrial Category Sales Specialist for the Southwest District to grow Valve Automation sales with end users and engineering offices. You will partner with sales teams and vendors to offer the right solutions and drive the bottom line for a multi-billion-dollar organization.

You will manage existing accounts, develop new relationships, and collaborate with inside/outside teams to present quotes and drive product specifications.

Qualifications

• Industry knowledge and experience are key to success in this role.
• Successful Category Sales Specialist will be goal-driven, team oriented, and capable of building new relationships to grow sales.
• 3–5 years experience in selling Valve & Automation or other engineered products is preferred but not required.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills are important.

Responsibilities

• Prospect and develop new Valve Automation business at industrial end users.
• Manage relationships with existing customers and grow sales in the Valve Automation category.
• Provide feedback to sales leadership on trends and product performance.
• Support outside sales team for Valve Automation products and other engineered products.
• Build relationships with key vendors to support sales in the accounts.
• Collaborate with inside sales and valve technicians to grow the business.
• Present Valve Automation quotes and proposals to customers and engineering offices.
• Develop relationships with engineering offices driving product specification.
