Ferguson in Chandler, AZ is seeking an Industrial Category Sales Specialist to grow Valve Automation sales within the Southwest District. You will partner with our sales team and vendors to deliver the right solutions to industrial end users.

The role emphasizes building new relationships, managing existing accounts, and driving revenue in our Valve Automation and engineered product categories. A technical mindset and strong customer focus are essential.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years experience in selling Valve & Automation or other engineered products.
• Industry knowledge and experience.
• Strong attention to detail.
• High integrity with problem solving, leadership & listening skills.
• Ability to organize and prioritize work.
• Proficient with computers, tablets and mobile devices.
• Ability to overcome objections and manage customer expectations.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office software (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams).

Responsibilities

• Prospect and develop new Valve Automation business at industrial end users.
• Manage relationships with existing customers and grow sales in Valve Automation products.
• Provide feedback to sales leadership on trends and market acceptance of products.
• Support outside sales team for Valve Automation products and other engineered products.
• Develop relationships with key vendors to support sales in the market.
• Collaborate with inside sales team and valve technicians to be a team player.
• Present Valve Automation quotes and proposals to customers and engineering offices.
• Develop and manage relationships with engineering offices driving product specification.
