Job summary

Parker Hannifin is seeking a Value Stream Team Leader to drive daily operations and continuous improvements across plant value streams. Under the Business Unit Manager, you will implement the Parker Lean system and Win Strategy to ensure safety, quality, and cost improvements, while developing a skilled workforce and reducing inventories and lead times.

You will lead associates, make employment decisions and assess performance, promoting teamwork and a culture of continuous improvement with PDCA

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• 3–5 years’ management or supervisory experience.
• Sufficient background in accounting, PC skills, manufacturing, human resource management and inventory control.
• Demonstrated teamwork and teambuilding skills. Ability to assess and develop individual and team skills and capabilities.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience with LEAN teams or leading LEAN teams is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead plant value stream(s) operations and continuous improvements.
• Oversee day-to-day activities to meet daily, monthly, quarterly and annual targets.
• Develop and lead associates, including employment decisions and performance assessments.
• Maintain standardized work and processes, ensure safety and 5S compliance.
• Foster a positive team atmosphere and coordinate cross-department support.
• Create and maintain Team Improvement Boards and PDCA tracking.
