Job summary

Scribe in San Francisco is seeking an experienced Head of Value Engineering (IC) to build the function from the ground up. You will create the framework that connects product capabilities to dollars and equip sales with tools to close deals.

With 8+ years in value engineering at a B2B SaaS company, you will translate product benefits into ROI language for CFOs and guide seven-figure transactions. Hybrid work 3 days per week, equity included.

Qualifications

• 8+ years building or scaling value engineering/solutions consulting at a B2B SaaS company.
• Translated product capabilities into ROI and business cases for CFOs and finance.
• Experience closing seven-figure deals with procurement and finance.
• Created reusable tools (calculators, templates, frameworks) adopted by teams.
• Able to work cross-functionally with sales, success, PMM, and SDR without fixed lanes.

Responsibilities

• Build Scribe's value framework and connect product capabilities to measurable business impact.
• Create value calculators, ROI templates, and live-deal materials used by sales and success teams.
• Partner with sales and success to quantify customer value in active deals.
• Translate product benefits into ROI language used by finance and technical buyers.
• Involved in enterprise deals that close seven-figure transactions.
• Align messaging across PMM, SDR, CSM, and sales for a consistent value story.
• Enable sales teams on core components of value storytelling.
• Establish value engineering as a scalable function at Scribe.
