MGM Resorts International is hiring a Valet Attendant at National Harbor, Maryland. You will be the first friendly face greeting guests and parking their vehicles, ensuring a high-quality guest experience at a fast-paced property.

Role includes handling vehicle claims, assisting guests, and maintaining smooth valet operations. Starting rate is $13.16 per hour plus tips, with overtime and benefits described in the employee program.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Valet attendant experience preferred.
• Ability to operate automatic and manual transmissions preferred.
• Willingness to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Greet arriving guests with enthusiasm and provide courteous valet parking.
• Collect vehicle claim checks and retrieve guest vehicles at departure.
• Assist guests with special needs and provide aid as required.
• Report issues to security or supervisor to prevent delays at the valet entrance.
• Direct vehicle flow to minimize traffic congestion and delays.
• Answer questions about hotel registration, restaurants, events, and attractions.
• Resolve guest problems within authority or escalate to supervisor when needed.
• Report thefts or missing items to supervisor or security for further investigation.
• Assist bell staff with luggage movement as necessary.

THE STARTING RATE:

• $13.16 per hour plus tips

THE DAY-TO-DAY:

• Warmly greet all arriving guests at the Valet Entrance while providing courteous, efficient, and enthusiastic valet parking services
• Collect a vehicle claim check and retrieve the guest’s vehicle for their departure
• Accommodate guests requiring special assistance and aid
• Report issues and/or potential problems to security or immediate supervisor to avoid traffic congestion and delays at the valet entrance
• Assist in regulating the movement and flow of vehicles to avoid traffic congestion
• Answer guest questions about hotel registration, restaurants, events, activities, and attractions
• Resolve guest problems within the scope of authority, otherwise refer to the supervisor on duty
• Report all alleged thefts or missing items to the supervisor and/or hotel security for further investigation
• Assist bell persons with the movement of luggage as necessary

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Prior valet attendant experience preferred
• Able to operate automatic and manual (stick shift) transmission vehicles preferred
• Able to work varied shifts, to include weekends and holidays

Pay Rate:

The rate for this role is:

$13.16

This rate represents a good faith estimate of the wage rate that MGM reasonably expects to pay for the position upon hire.

Pay will not be below any applicable minimum wage.

Should overtime be worked, employees are paid overtime pay in accordance with state requirements.
