CHI is seeking a Ventricular Assist Coordinator RN to provide specialized nursing care for patients with advanced heart failure and those considered for mechanical circulatory support or heart transplant.

You will coordinate comprehensive nursing care, educate patients and families, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal outcomes for these high-risk patients throughout their care continuum.

Competenze

• BSN required with 5 years ICU or transplant experience.
• Registered Nurse license in TX on hire.
• Basic Life Support (CPR) certification within 14 days.

Mansioni

• Collaborate with physicians and health care team to plan pre and post-implant care for patients with mechanical circulatory support.
• Manage day-to-day course of in-hospital patients; notify consultants, participate in rounds, communicate with patients and families to streamline hospital course.
• Educate patients and families about mechanical circulatory support care and post-implant needs.
• Provide clinical updates to payers to avoid denials and secure pre-certifications for procedures.
• Lead healthcare team to address cost and quality issues while maintaining high patient care standards.
• Collaborate with physicians and Fellows on strategies for heart failure treatment.
