Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited BSN program.

• ACLS and BLS certifications required.
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience with 1 year in VAD care.

Responsibilities

• Provides advanced nursing care for VAD patients before and after implant.
• Coordinates pre-VAD referrals to optimize resource use.
• Assess post-VAD patient status and determine need for further intervention.
• Facilitates scheduling of studies and procedures for diagnostic purposes.
• Develops and implements VAD care protocols with the team.
• Participates in on-call coverage for VAD emergencies.
