Job summary

Keck Hospital of USC in Los Angeles, CA seeks an RN Coordinator for the VAD Mech Circulatory Program. This full-time, 8-hour day, non-exempt role supports both inpatient and outpatient VAD and transplant care and coordinates with the cardiothoracic transplant team.

The position requires a BSN, CA RN license, and ICU experience, with strong communication skills and the ability to educate patients and families. On-call shifts may be required.

Qualifications

• BSN required; CA RN licensure.
• MSN preferred.
• 1 year critical care nursing experience.
• Clinical care of ventricular assist devices (VAD) patients desirable.
• Proficient in MS Office and clinical documentation.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily VAD inpatient/outpatient care with transplant team.
• Educate patients, families and staff about VAD and transplantation.
• Maintain INTERMACS and waitlist documentation; assist with policy updates.
• Support rounds, PI activities and data collection for program.
• Respond to after-hours calls and participate in on-call shifts as needed.
