Job summary

Shirley Contracting Company is hiring Vacuum Truck Drivers to operate jetting and vacuum equipment across multiple Virginia sites. The role requires a valid Class B CDL with tanker endorsement, and a preference for HAZMAT.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid Class B CDL with tanker endorsement; HAZMAT preferred.
• Clean driving record with no major traffic violations in the last 7 years.
• Must pass pre-employment DOT physical and drug screen.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly.
• Able to pass background checks for secure facility access.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily pre- and post-trip inspections and maintain inspection logs.
• Maintain vehicle mileage logs and work tickets.
• Operate vacuum and jetting equipment to clear storm drains, sanitary lines, and conduits.
• Hydro excavation using high-pressure water jetting with a nozzle/ lance.
• Safely operate the commercial vehicle in traffic, construction zones, and tight sites across Virginia.
• Keep vehicles clean and well-maintained and uphold health and safety policies.
• Collaborate with teammates and maintain positive working relationships.
