Job summary

Shirley Contracting Company is seeking a Fuel Truck Driver to join our Richmond, VA team. This full-time, year-round position starts at 6:00 AM with overtime and weekend work possible, and involves operating a CMV, fueling heavy equipment, and ensuring safe, clean vehicles.

Candidates must hold a Class B CDL with Tanker and HazMat endorsements, a clean driving record, pass a DOT physical and drug screen, and be able to lift 50 pounds. Manual transmission preferred.

Qualifications

• Valid Class B CDL with Tanker and HazMat endorsements.
• Clean driving record with no major violations in 7 years.
• DOT pre-employment physical and drug screening required.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds unassisted.
• Manual transmission experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Complete daily pre- and post-trip inspections and maintain inspection reports.
• Maintain mileage and fuel dispense logs.
• Safely operate commercial vehicle across Virginia in varied conditions.
• Refuel heavy equipment using diesel fuel.
• Daily greasing of wear parts and topping off fluids.
• Keep assigned vehicles clean and adhere to safety policies.
