Job summary

Shirley Contracting Company, LLC is seeking a Fuel Truck Driver to operate company vehicles on various US sites. Base hourly range is $25.00–$35.00, with pay varying by education, experience, and location. Start time is 6:00 AM; overtime and weekends may be required.

Qualifications

• Must hold Class B CDL with tanker and Hazmat endorsements.
• Manual transmission preferred.
• Clean driving record with no major violations in the last 7 years.
• Must pass pre-employment DOT physical and drug screening.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds unassisted.
• Ability to pass background checks for secure facility access.

Responsibilities

• Know DOT rules, regulations, and guidelines.
• Complete daily pre- and post-trip inspections and maintain inspection reports.
• Maintain daily mileage and fuel dispense logs.
• Safely operate a commercial vehicle across varied environments (traffic, construction sites, tight areas).
• Refuel heavy equipment using diesel fuel.
• Daily greasing of heavy equipment wear parts and grease fittings.
• Top-off fluids as needed.
• Maintain assigned vehicle(s) to a high standard of cleanliness.
• Ensure health and safety policies are followed and foster positive coworker relations.

Qualifications

• Class B CDL
• Tanker and HAZMAT endorsements
• Manual Transmission, preferred
• Clean Driving Record (No major traffic violations, tickets or accidents for the last 7 years.)
• Must pass pre-employment DOT physical/drug screening
• Ability to lift 50 pounds unassisted on a regular basis
• Ability to pass background checks for secure facility access

Responsibilities

• Knowledge of Department of Transportation (DOT) rules, regulations, and guidelines
• Complete daily pre- and post-trip inspection and maintain inspection reports
• Maintain daily mileage and fuel dispense logs
• Safely operate commercial vehicle while driving and maneuvering in a variety of situations, such as heavy traffic, construction sites, and tight areas across Virginia
• Refuel heavy equipment using diesel fuel
• Daily greasing of all heavy equipment wear parts and grease fittings
• Fluid top-offs as need
• Maintain assigned vehicle(s) to a high standard of cleanliness
• Ensure the company's health and safety culture, policies and requirements are met
• Establish and maintain a positive working relationship with co-workers

Job Type: Full-Time, Year-Round

Location: Various Jobsites

Working Hours: Start time is 6:00 AM. Overtime and weekends may be required.

For this role the base hourly range is $25.00-$35.00. Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate's education, experience, skills, and geographic location. Base pay is one part of the Total Compensation Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work.
