Job summary

DirectShifts is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to conduct VA General Medicine evaluations and complete DBQs in line with VA guidelines. You will review Veterans' medical history, perform comprehensive exams, and prepare objective medical reports.

The role offers flexible scheduling (FT/PT/PRN), no on-call duties, and a collaborative practice with supervising physicians, ensuring compliance with HIPAA and state/federal regulations.

Qualifications

• Active NP or PA license.
• Collaborative agreement with supervising physician as required by state law.
• Strong clinical assessment and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct VA C&P General Medicine examinations.
• Review Veterans' medical history and supporting documentation prior to each evaluation.
• Perform comprehensive physical assessments.
• Complete Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs) accurately and thoroughly.
• Prepare timely, objective, and detailed medical reports.
• Ensure compliance with VA guidelines, HIPAA, and state/federal regulations.
• Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to ensure timely completion of evaluations.
