Job summary

DirectShifts is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to perform VA C&P General Medicine examinations in Mountain Home, Idaho. The candidate must hold an active, unrestricted license and, where required by state law, a collaborative agreement with a supervising physician.

Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted NP or PA license.
• Collaborative agreement with supervising physician as required by state law.
• Strong clinical assessment and documentation skills.
• Ability to work independently while following clinical protocols.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct VA Compensation & Pension (C&P) General Medicine examinations.
• Review Veterans' medical history and supporting documentation prior to each evaluation.
• Perform comprehensive physical assessments.
• Complete Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs) accurately and thoroughly.
• Prepare timely, objective, and detailed medical reports.
• Ensure compliance with VA guidelines, HIPAA, and all applicable state and federal regulations.
• Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to ensure timely completion of evaluations.
