Job summary

DirectShifts is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to review Veterans' medical records and perform VA C&P General Medicine exams in line with VA guidelines.

You will review medical history, perform comprehensive physicals, complete DBQs accurately, and prepare objective medical reports while ensuring HIPAA compliance and regulatory adherence. Flexible scheduling options are available (FT/PT/PRN) with no on-call duties.

Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted NP or PA license.
• Collaborative agreement with supervising physician where required by state law.
• Strong clinical assessment and documentation skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently while adhering to clinical protocols.

Responsibilities

• Conduct VA C&P General Medicine examinations.
• Review Veterans' medical history and supporting documentation prior to each evaluation.
• Perform comprehensive physical assessments.
• Complete Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs) accurately and thoroughly.
• Prepare timely, objective, and detailed medical reports.
• Ensure compliance with VA guidelines, HIPAA, and all applicable state and federal regulations.
• Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to ensure timely completion of evaluations.
