Job summary

DirectShifts is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to conduct VA C&P General Medicine examinations in the Cullman, AL area. The provider will review Veterans' medical histories, perform comprehensive assessments, and complete DBQs in line with VA guidelines.

Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted NP or PA license.
• Collaborative agreement with supervising physician where required by state law.
• Strong clinical assessment and documentation skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently within clinical protocols.

Responsibilities

• Review Veterans' medical records prior to evaluations.
• Conduct VA C&P General Medicine examinations.
• Perform comprehensive physical assessments.
• Complete VA Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs).
• Prepare timely, objective medical reports.
• Ensure compliance with VA guidelines, HIPAA, and state/federal laws.
• Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to complete evaluations on time.
