Job summary

Sentinel Health Services is seeking a licensed dentist to perform VA C&P dental examinations for veterans at approved clinical locations. This contract role requires owning a dental office, maintaining an active license, and offering 1–3 days per week with flexible scheduling to fit a provider’s patient load.

Responsibilities include conducting comprehensive dental examinations, preparing IMOs and DBQs, and submitting secure documentation through VA portals.

Qualifications

• Doctorate degree from CODA-accredited program.
• Active, unrestricted dental license (DDS or DMD) in the practicing state.
• One year of dental experience or VA examination experience preferred.
• Must own a dental office and work as an independent contractor.

Responsibilities

• Perform VA Compensation and Pension (C&P) Dental Examinations on Veterans.
• Perform Dental, TMJ and other dental disability examinations as assigned.
• Complete Independent Medical Opinions (IMOs) when requested.
• Review digital medical and dental records thoroughly.
• Conduct comprehensive oral and dental evaluations for specific claims.
• Review diagnostic imaging and supporting documentation as applicable.
• Complete VA Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs) and required documentation.
• Submit examination information through a secure online portal for VA review.
