Job summary

Sentinel Health Services is seeking dentists to perform VA Compensation and Pension examinations in a contract role. You must hold a DDS or DMD and be licensed in your practicing state, with malpractice insurance, to conduct exams at approved dental offices with flexible scheduling.

Responsibilities include reviewing records, completing DBQs, and coordinating through a secure VA portal. Expect 1–3 days per week, with a commercial practice location and independent contractor terms.

Qualifications

• DDS or DMD license in the state of practice.
• Active, unrestricted dental license in the state of practice.
• CODA-accredited dental education program.

Responsibilities

• Perform VA Compensation and Pension (C&P) Dental Examinations for Veterans.
• Conduct Dental TMJ and other disability examinations as assigned.
• Complete Independent Medical Opinions (IMOs) when requested.
• Review digital medical and dental records thoroughly.
• Conduct comprehensive oral evaluations based on disability claims.
• Review imaging and supporting documentation when applicable.
• Complete VA DBQs and required examination documentation.
• Submit information through a secure VA portal.
• Examinations occur at approved dental offices with proper equipment.
• Flexibly schedule 1–3 days per week to align with existing patients.
